Hello Janet, welcome to BooksChatter and thank you for joining us today.

What was the inspiration for The Ancients (Part II)?

"My inspiration was a dream I had one night.  It woke me up out of a dead sleep.  I had to write it down.   After that my imagination took over. "
How much of yourself is reflected in this book, and how?
"There’s a lot of me reflected in this book.  Each one of my characters reflects a small part of myself."
The first thing that draws me to a book is its cover.  Can you tell us about your cover for The Ancients (Part II) - why you chose that concept and who the artist is.
"Actually, I got a hold of cover artist gave him a very vague description of what I wanted and the next thing you know he sends me back this gorgeous cover.    Paul Michael is an amazing artist."
Why should we read The Ancients (Part II) and what sets it apart from the rest?
"I can guarantee you have never read a series like this one. Everyone who reads it have the same reaction—I wasn’t expecting that."
Can you tell us something quirky about The Ancients (Part II), its story and characters?
"Fillmore is a cocky smart ass.  He is very good-looking, strong, and is one of those people you want to hate but can’t.  He also has some fantastic powers."
Who would you recommend The Ancients (Part II) to and what should readers be aware of (any warnings or disclaimers)?
"There is a disclaimer in the front of the book:

“The following book is intended for adult readers. Violence, adult situations, and strong language contained in the book are not suitable for younger readers.”

This book does have some language that may be considered offensive to some people.  This is definitely not a children’s book."
If you could / wished to turn The Ancients (Part II) and the A Fine Line series into a movie, who would be your dream team?
"Well, it’s funny you should ask that.  The first book in the series already has a screenplay being worked on by a wonderful actor, George Seder.  You can see his work in the new movie coming out in 2016 Batman VS. Superman.

As far as a dream team goes, I would love to see some such as Robert Downey Jr. play Fillmore, he has the right personality.   Some of the characters already have actors attached to them, so my dream team is being built."
What do you like to write and read about? Do you stick to a particular genre or do you like to explore different ones?
"My favorite genre is Dark Fiction.  I have always been a horror fanatic so it’s not a far stretch.   I don’t mind exploring different avenues but Dark Fiction seems to be where my strength lays."
What is your writing process?
"Believe it or not I don’t have one.   I will have a dream, see something that sparks an idea, read an article that does the same—then I sit down and write.  There are a million stories stuck in my head and when I start writing they’re like a flood."
What is in store next?
"A Fine Line: The Beginning is being revised.  The 3rd edition will be out in October.

I have finished but haven’t sent it to my editor yet, Eternal Bloodlines. This novel will be out in the winter of this year. The following it the description I post to a couple of my sites:"
Amanda is a small town girl. She was born and raised in Skidway Lake, Michigan. She still lives in the home she grew up in, though her parents have been dead now for five years. She had been, for some time, sick of her mundane life. She wants adventure, excitement, she wants love, but more than anything, she wants a new life out of this small town. Her mother had always told her to be careful what she wished for and she wouldn’t realize the strength of that warning until she finds the dead body of a young woman in the woods by her home. Amanda’s whole life is about to be turned upside down when she finds a body of a young woman. However, the one body is not the only one that will turn up in this small town. The sheriff, Sheriff Hugely, will find more dead young people. The deaths generate fear that disturbingly settles in the heart of the whole town.

To make things more profound, Amanda is in a car accident, which takes her best friends life. She begins to believe a dark man has taken her friend’s life—at least she believes it was a man. She begins see a dark stranger pop up here and there and for a period of time she thinks she is losing her mind. Her life has suddenly been spun out of control resembling the horror stories and movies she loves so much. Her dark stranger has to be a figment of her imagination, right? However, that theory is short lives when she finds out who he truly is. Her humdrum life will never be the same and neither will the lives of those in her small town. Who knew all her dark tales and horror movies would come to life—become a part of her life?

Amanda is whisked away on a dark adventure she will never be able to leave but is this a tragedy or a blessing? Become enthralled in the mystery and darkness, as Amanda is absorbed in a world she once believe to be only fantasy. What secrets lay in wait for her and will she be able to handle her new reality.
And as a final quirky thing, to get to know you a little bit better... do you have a pet or something that is special to you that you could share with us?
"Are you kidding me, yes I do, my little man, Tito.  He’s my baby boy, I love him to pieces. Below is a picture of him."

Awww, little baby.  Hello Tito!!!  Thank you for sharing him with us and than you for the chat.
