ℚ♫ Shadow's Voice [1] - Natalie Johanson

Today we have the pleasure of meeting up with author to talk about Shadow's Voice (, WiDo Publishing, 275 pages), a Fantasy.

This is a great first book from Natalie Johanson. You have an amazing world and a kick butt lead character. Rose doesn’t take grief from anyone which is at odds with her running from her past. As you learn about her past you do come to care for her and hope that her finds her place in the world.

This world was created perfectly. No info dumps and a hint at a romance that progresses very slowly. It was very easy to get into this story and the ending wrapped everything up neatly. There is an opening for a sequel and I really hope that there is more to come from this world.

I recommend checking out Shadow’s Voice if you like YA fantasy stories. I can’t wait to read more from Natalie Johanson.

ℚ♫ Soup: The Future Is Past And Present [1] - Travis Haugen

Today we have the pleasure of meeting up with author to talk about Soup: The Future Is Past And Present (, FriesenPress, 300 pages), an Interactive Musical Thriller, realised in collaboration with his niece Candy Haugen.

"I liked the author's knowledge of futuristic technology. The mystery unfolded gradually until it reached a page-turning climax. This is a winner!" ~ Amazon Reviewer

"The book's timeline alternates seamlessly between the past and present. As a musician writing about musicians, the author provides an insightful perspective. I really liked the unique interactive aspect of the book--song links are included throughout the book. ℚ Mamma's Moon: Peckerwood Finch [2] - Jerome Mark Antil

Today we have the pleasure of meeting up with author to talk about Mamma's Moon (, Little York Books, 270 pages), a Literary Fiction, book two in the Peckerwood Finch series.

"Jerome Mark Antil's Mamma's Moon does for Acadiana what Truman Capote did for Tiffany's or Tennessee Williams did for streetcars. This is a novel about a lot of things, including sex, crime, life, and death. But most of all, it's a novel about hope and about love.

Mamma's Moon gives the reader a dramatic and insightful glimpse into the very special world of today's Louisiana French Acadians, whose early tragic history was immortalized by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow in his classic poem, Evangeline, even before the heartless bayou's more contemporary history was buried deep and forgotten." ~ Tom Hyman (LA Times bestselling author: writer for LIFE magazine, The Saturday Evening Post, Argosy, Washington Post Book World and New York Magazine).
