Top 10 things about Scotland

  1. The people without doubt.

A combination of dry, gritty humour, an enviable stoicism and fierce loyalty make the Scots an incredible nation.  The first reception can be somewhat gruff, but once ‘you’re alright’, that’s it, they’ll have your back!  This raises the question of course, do the people make the place, or does the place make the people?

ℚ♫ Zoey's Place - E.M. Bannock

Today we have the pleasure of meeting up with author to talk about Zoey's Place (, E.M. Bannock, 218 pages), a Modern Adult Romance with Erotic elements.

"First off, I don't usually read romance. I refer to romances as schmuck books. This wasn't a typical schmuck book though. There was significant content and a strong female protagonist. Sure, it started out as a mature version of 50 shades, but it wasn't all soccer-mom erotica. The foreshadowing made events halfway through the book of little surprise, but then the unexpected happens! This is when I really got intrigued, and I had to keep reading to the end. It was a nicely written story, not just a romance with lots of juicy sex, but that was fun too. I have already recommended it to my friends, because unlike 50 shades, I don't feel dumber for having read it. Great read and worth the time!" ~ Lisa

Today author takes over our blog to tell us about "Five Steps to Profiling a Serial Killer". Carolyn Arnold is the author of the Brandon Fisher FBI Series, a Police Procedural Mystery, currently spanning six stand-alone novels.

“I find that a lot of suspense books nowadays  often make the lead character this perfect cop or agent who is rugged and tough, never backs down from a fight, always gets their man and almost seems untouchable. But the lead character in this book is far from any of those things. He is a new agent, he doesn’t always know what to do, he has made mistakes in his past, he allows his emotions to rule him, and he seems to seek approval from his fellow agents as to whether or not he is a good agent.

This book was a direct hit to my senses, unexpected and bold, with multitude of gross indecent behavior, inner lust, and extreme violence. Antigravity has been invented and “flying” has given way to “floating”: giant platforms with cities remain above the growing surface temperatures as enclaves of the privileged. ℚ The Awakening Aten: The Aten Saga [1] - Aidan K. Morrissey

Today we have the pleasure of meeting up with author to talk about The Awakening Aten (, Matador, 370 pages), a Historical Fiction, book one in The Aten Saga.

"A remarkable achievement. Not particularly interested in Egyptian history or historical fiction, this book may have swayed me. The author has obviously researched painstakingly to ensure the sense of time and place are correct; however, it is the inner stories which make this novel. Of course, the motivations are very human, but here they are subtle.

Beautifully written and crafted, the necessary rape, murder and sometimes vile behaviour are well- observed. There is also a fabulous hidden coming-of-age story at the end. Brilliant
